Religion has been a difficult topic for people since the beginning - from Adam to the present day.

We all know there are two sides to every story: good and evil, etc.  Further, the world has many mysteries and legends.

There are two books which contain the most truth available on the earth: The Bible and the Book of Mormon.  They are important because they contain the Word of God!  We need God's help in these days of trouble in the world.

In fact, these books back each other up.  The Bible is the Word of God given to the world from the Jews, God's chosen people.  However, God does not love only the Jews.  Christ himself sent Apostles and missionaries to the Gentiles.  This is still true today.

The Book of Mormon was written by people who were guided by God to leave Jerusalem around 600 BC.  They traveled to the American Continent.  They had Prophets who spoke God's word, just like the Biblical times.  They wrote the teachings and saved them on metal plates.  These people eventually annihilated themselves after a thousand years due to disobedience to God's word - the judgments and punishments of God were fulfilled.  The words of God were saved by these people and were brought forth in our day by the power of God.  They have been given to the world at a critical time in history to help prepare the world for the Second Coming of Christ; to prove that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; to prove that the Bible is TRUE, and to remind the remnants of the ancient people of the American Continent, that God has promised to bless them and that He KEEPS his promises. In order to get the most out of these books and to know for yourself that they are TRUE, you must READ them and ask God to confirm the truths contained in them through His Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost.  That way, you will not have any doubts and you will have less fear in the World.

Additionally, the knowledge of who and what God is, and what He wants us to do, is another mystery.  But, in our day, there is a definitive answer: God and Jesus Christ have been in contact with men on the earth in OUR DAY.  This blessed event occurred in April of 1820.  A fourteen-year-old boy was confused about which church to join.  After reading in the Bible, James 1:5, he went to the woods for privacy and to ask God in prayer which church he should join.  What occurred was not expected, but in reality was the greatest news and blessing since Christ came to the world in the meridian of time!  Joseph Smith received instructions given from God and from angelic messengers, God's true Church was RESTORED to the earth.  It is growing rapidly and fulfilling Daniel's prophecy of "a stone cut out of the mountain without hands" would "roll forth, until it filled the whole earth". 

There are many churches and their members are good people.  However, there cannot be more than one true church.  God would not permit the conflicts associated with so many different beliefs.  Men  and women are not authorized to appoint themselves as God's spokesmen.  God himself chooses who will be his representative(s) on earth.  Joseph Smith did not "call" himself to the ministry.  God did.  I challenge you to find out for yourself if what I have told you is true.  You will not regret it.  Salvation can come from only one source: God and his one and only true church and authority.
